SMS Awarded New Campus East - Information Technology (NCE-IT)

McLean, VA | April 9, 2008 -- SMS Data Products Group, Inc., an industry leader in enterprise network services since 1976, is proud to announce that the company has teamed with General Dynamics to be awarded the Ft. Belvoir New Campus East - Information Technology (NCE-IT) project supporting the geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) mission for NGA.

In accordance with the Department of Defense Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) actions, NGA will consolidate eastern operations on a new campus on the Engineer Proving Ground of Fort Belvoir. This consolidation will create one centralized eastern location for GEOINT, supporting a unified organization and culture and providing state-of the-art facilities that will enable integrated operations. The NCE-IT project will help facilitate horizontal integration, increase force protection and mission assurance, and reduce facility operation and maintenance costs.

SMS will provide NCE-IT project support to General Dynamics in the following areas:
- Network Design
- Network Implementation
- Integration Support
- Product Acquisition
