Cloud Computing and Virtualization

In early 2011, the U.S. Government initiated a “Cloud First” strategy. This policy, which is part of the 25-point Federal IT Reformation Plan, mandated that all federal agencies accelerate the pace at which they migrate to a safe, secure cloud-based solution, before making any new information technology investments.  Since 2009, SMS has been working side-by-side with our federal clients helping them meet their cloud and virtualization IT challenges, constructing the largest private Intelligence Community cloud and virtualizing over 35,000 desktops.

Whether migrating to a private or public cloud, SMS can help. We assist our defense, intelligence, federal civilian and commercial customers with developing cloud strategies, building virtualized applications, virtualized desktops, and managing and securing cloud computing environments.

At SMS, our engineers are VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Citrix factory certified so that we can provide our customers the full spectrum of services from architectures, design and development to integration and operations and maintenance for a true, one-stop for cloud and virtualization.
