McLean, VA | October 30, 2017 – SMS, a leading IT solutions provider and systems integration firm with over 40 years of experience providing innovative solutions to the federal government announced today it was awarded the Air Force Provisional Enterprise Data Center (AFPEDC) Task Order (TO) under the NETCENTS-2, NetOps and Infrastructure Solutions Small Business Contract.

The firm-fixed priced, $27 million DO was awarded from the Air Force’s Life Cycle Management Center Base Infrastructure Branch (AFLCMC/HNIB) based out of Hanscom Air Force Base (AFB). SMS will plan, design, procure, install, configure, integrate, deploy and test the hardware and software needed to refresh and update the network, storage systems and overall capacity at both Scott AFB and Hanscom AFB. SMS will also perform the data migration from legacy equipment, configuration and verification of systems deployed with the opportunity to complete the migration of the Voice Protection System (VPS), Air Wave Management System (AWMS), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and Situational Awareness Modernization Program (SAMP) currently hosted on the Server Consolidation Environment (SCE).
