The contract has a ceiling of $5.3 billion per year with a 4 year period of performance. SMS has the ability to compete for work in all 7 geographical zones and 21 of the 22 functional areas. The SeaPort-e contract supports the U.S. Marine Corps, Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Air Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Command, Strategic Systems Programs, and Office of Naval Research, among others. Example services performed under the functional areas include research and development, engineering, modeling and simulation, quality assurance, information systems, training, logistics and multimedia support.
