The Washington Post Names SMS a 2020 Top Workplace for the 5th Consecutive Year

McLean, VA | October 15, 2020 – SMS announced today that it has received a 2020 Top Workplaces award by The Washington Post. The Top Workplaces feature identifies private, public, nonprofit and government agencies within the DC metro area with the highest ratings as voted by their employees.

Selection is based solely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey where more than 3,500 DC area companies were invited to participate and 406 were eventually evaluated with a record number of employees participating in 2020. Energage, LLC administered the questionnaire which measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.  The review asked people to evaluate their employers based on 24 statements regarding how they view their jobs, leadership and the health of their organization. SMS, in its fifth consecutive year on the list, ranked 14 of 75 mid-sized companies in the greater Washington area.
