From enhancing operational efficiency to securing key contracts, the 2024 SMS award winners have made a remarkable impact across various facets of SMS. We applaud the diverse achievements of Dan Robles, Tim Blain, Erica McBride, Steven Hyde, and Anna Anderson, showcasing their individual strengths and collective contribution to SMS’ success.
Dan Robles –Service Delivery Manager of the Year
Dan Robles, Program Manager for the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division Contract at Joint Base San Antonio, is our Service Delivery Manager of the Year. Dan’s exceptional leadership and technical expertise led to several key accomplishments in 2024. His implementation of a Power BI solution enhanced operational efficiency and reduced costs for our customer while his strategic management and communication skills secured five additional resources for the SMS CCSD contract. Dan’s customer-focused approach and ability to execute impactful changes exemplify his professional excellence and leadership.
Tim Blain – Linh Pham Team Player of the Year
Tim Blain, our Linh Pham Team Player of the Year, has been a dedicated SMS employee for over 20 years, consistently demonstrating exceptional commitment to our mission and customers. His technical expertise is matched by his leadership style of integrity and warmth, exemplified by his six-month commitment at Ft. Meade and vital contributions to the JRSS and AGUN Programs. Tim’s positive presence and ability to foster team harmony while maintaining focus have been invaluable. His outstanding service and team-oriented approach have significantly impacted both SMS and our customers.
Erica McBride – Administrative Excellence Award
Since joining SMS in 2021, Erica McBride made an immediate impact on the recruiting team and is the perfect recipient of our Administrative Excellence Award. She exemplifies excellence in everything she does. Over the past year, she has played a vital role in filling challenging positions and supporting our OFCCP audit. Her outstanding performance and dedication to mentoring new team members led to her promotion to Lead Technical Recruiter in 2024. Her determination, attention to detail, and constant focus on improvement greatly contribute to the success of SMS and our customers.
Steven Hyde – Engineer of the Year
Our Engineer of the Year, Steven Hyde, has set the bar over the past year for accomplishments as our Director of IT. Under his leadership, Steven has transformed SMS through several critical initiatives, including datacenter and O365 migrations, ISO certifications, and establishing a secure CUI environment for CMMC compliance. Along with his technical expertise, Steven has demonstrated a strong dedication to SMS and his professional growth, evident through his Technical Leadership Program (TLP) achievements and promotion to Director of the TLP program.
Anna Anderson – Business Development Executive of the Year
Anna Anderson, an outstanding leader who has helped transform SMS over 13 years, is our Business Development Executive of the Year for an amazing sixth time. Anna was a key part of securing SMS as the top contract holder in awarded dollars on the recently completed Air Force NETCENTS NETOPS contract and has positioned SMS for opportunities for years to come with her innovative business development strategies. Her exceptional ability to build relationships and lead with expertise has set a standard of excellence.
