We are proud to honor Carl Siltala with January’s President’s Award. As Mission Systems Lead on our Air Force task order, Carl manages three work centers and supports numerous high-level VoIP and telephone projects. His unwavering commitment to responding to after-hours requests and providing SME-level guidance has been crucial to advancing the contract, ensuring customer success. Carl’s leadership is evident in his practice of recognizing his team members, earning him deep respect from colleagues. Thank you for your outstanding contributions, Carl!
SMS recognizes Claudia Mottl with February’s President’s Award. As SMS’s Benefits Specialist/LMS Administrator, Claudia has spearheaded several initiatives this year, helping employees navigate changes in benefits and training. She has collaborated closely with United Healthcare to offer programs like our Wellness Incentive lunch and learns and managed the 2025 Annual SMS Fitness Challenge. Additionally, Claudia expanded our partnership with Lincoln Financial Group to streamline FMLA administration, enabling a one-stop medical/FMLA leave claim submission process. Her leadership in new initiatives within our Learning Management System and Spotlight platform has been widely appreciated by employees. Thank you for your dedication and support, Claudia!
We are delighted to honor TraShawnnia Little with March’s President’s Award. Since joining the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) program, Shawn has been an invaluable asset to both SMS and our customer. Her exceptional support has been frequently acknowledged by veteran SMS employees and customers alike, who have praised her, “selfless service, outstanding support, and highly commendable initiative.” Shawn has consistently stepped up to lead the DTRA Service Desk in the absence of the lead, providing guidance and direction to the team.
