SMS Wins Recompete of Kirtland Air Force Base C4 Contract
McLean, VA | May 16, 2023 SMS announced today it has been awarded the 377th Air Base Wing task order in support of the Command, Control, Communications and Computer (C4) Services Contract at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM, under the Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3) multiple award IDIQ contract.
The $56M C4 Services Contract supports Kirtland AFB, which relies on a large, diverse number of communications and information services to support the research, development, test, operation, and evaluation of special weapons and sustain war-fighting operations. Specifically, it is serviced by two points of presence and four critical communication facilities, including voice communications, Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), and Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication Systems (JWICS).

SMS delivers services for the 377th Air Base Wing, the host organization for Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB), as well as more than 50 major mission partners including: Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC), 58th Special Operations Wing (SOW), 150th Special Operations Wing (NMANG), Air Force Inspection Agency (AFIA), Air Force Safety Center (AFSEC), Department of Energy (DOE) and Sandia National Laboratory (SNL). The period of performance of the base year is 16 September 2023 – 15 September 2024. The task order has the base year plus four, one-year option periods.
