SMS Awarded Base-Level Information Technology Services (BLITS 2) Task Order to Support Hanscom Air Force Base

McLean, VA | June 8, 2020 – SMS, a dynamic systems integrator offering solutions in engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and digital transformation for the federal government since 1976, announced the award of the US Air Force’s (USAF) Base-Level Information Technology Services (BLITS 2) Task Order at Hanscom Air Force Base, under the NETCENTS-2 NetOps and Infrastructure Solutions contract.

Under the $39M, three-year recompeted task order, SMS will continue to support Hanscom Air Force Base’s (HAFB) 66th Air Base Group (66 ABG) and the Air Force Information Network (AFIN). The group’s mission is to secure, support, and sustain information and information systems through effective and efficient service delivery. SMS’s services will include network operations support, IT asset management, server support, unified communications/voice infrastructure, Enterprise Information System/Web Services, the client service center, vulnerability management & AF Enterprise Systems Support, and cable plant management.
