McLean, VA | February 14, 2018 – SMS, a leading IT solutions provider and systems integration firm with over 40 years of experience providing innovative solutions to the federal government announced today their award of the Ace Load Balancer Replacement Effort to support the United States Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (US AFLCMC) based out of Hanscom Air Force Base.
The Ace Load Balancer Replacement Effort Task Order was awarded to SMS on the NETCENTS 2 NetOps and Infrastructure Solutions Small Business Contract for a total award value of $14M. SMS and Partner, F5 Networks (F5), will work collaboratively to engineer, furnish, install and test the F5 Load Balancer solution across 23 AF installations within an 18 month period of performance. SMS and F5 Networks will replace the existing load balancer infrastructure approaching or at the End Of Life/End Of Service (EOL/EOS) with F5 Load Balancers at various AF installations including the Hanscom AF Integration Test Facility (ITF).
