SMS Announces ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 Recertification

McLean, VA | July 25, 2019 – SMS, a leading IT solutions provider and systems integration firm with over 40 years of experience providing innovative solutions to the federal government announced today that it has achieved ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 recertification. This certification describes an integrated set of management processes, which form a service management system for the effective delivery of services to its customers and employees. ISO/IEC 20000 is aligned with and complementary to the process approach defined within ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library).

To achieve this recertification, SMS demonstrated that its IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, policies, and metrics adhere to the ISO 20000 standard and effectively support the service management system. An independent, accredited auditor representative from SAI-Global conducted the audit.
