SMS Awarded the Air Education and Training Command Wireless Program Office Support Task Order
McLean, VA | September 19, 2019 – SMS, a dynamic systems integrator offering solutions in engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and digital transformation for the federal government since 1976, announced today it has been awarded a contract for the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) Wireless Network Program Task Order under the NETCENTS-2 NetOps and Infrastructure Solutions Small Business Contract.
The $5M task order with a 5-year period of performance supports the wireless requirements for the US Air Force’s Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Base Information Transport Infrastructure (BITI), GuestNet and Long Term Evolution (LTE) wireless networks supporting the base’s Continuum of Learning (CoL) and Force Development (FD) initiatives. SMS will provide network wireless operations including data collection, analysis, and processing of customer requirements and life cycle cost development for its wireless networks. SMS will also focus on wireless engineering, requirement implementations, and maintaining network federally dictated compliance standards at JBSA and three other locations.
